Every child learns differently, so every Quran lesson is one-to-one and built around yours. Whether your child is picking up the Arabic letters for the first time with Noorani Qaida, perfecting their recitation with Tajweed, or working towards Hifz, they get a dedicated Al-Azhar teacher who knows them by name and moves at their pace. Lessons happen live on Zoom, from home, at times that fit around school and family life.
COURSES
Our online Qur'an and Arabic courses
Pick the path that fits your child. Start with reading through Learn to Read Qur’an, perfect their recitation with Tajweed (the rules of correct Qur’anic pronunciation), work towards memorisation with Hifz, build understanding through Islamic Studies, or learn the language itself with Arabic. Every course is one-to-one and tailored to your child’s level.
A structured memorisation plan built on the traditional cycle — new lines each day, recent revision, and older revision kept alive. Your teacher sets a target that is realistic for your child’s age and the lessons you take, and reports on it every month, whether that’s Juz Amma or the full Mushaf.
Reading the Mushaf fluently and correctly, with every letter corrected as it is read. For students who can already manage the Arabic script and want their recitation to become smooth, accurate and confident.
The rules of correct recitation, introduced one at a time and applied straight away: makharij — where each letter is produced — the basic madd, and the noon and meem rules. Nothing is learned as theory before it is used.
The finer rules and the distinctions between them, with the fluency and control expected of a strong reciter. For students who already recite well and want to recite properly.
The classic first book. Letters, their shapes and sounds, joining them together, and the vowel marks — the foundation everything else rests on. Most children work through it in a few months.
A modern, carefully sequenced alternative to the Qaida, taking a student from single letters to reading connected Arabic text, with a great deal of built-in practice. Often the better fit for younger children.
Reading, writing, speaking and understanding Arabic, from the alphabet upwards. Children follow a paced curriculum with visuals and games; adult beginners start from absolute zero; and an intensive schedule of four or five lessons a week is there if you want to move quickly.
The meaning behind the words: what a surah is saying, the circumstances it came down in, and what it asks of the reader. Taught at the student’s level, starting with the short surahs your child already recites.
The life of the Prophet (peace be upon him), told in order and in context — Makkah, the migration, Madinah — with the character behind the events drawn out. The course children tend to enjoy most.
The core beliefs, taught clearly and simply: what we believe about Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers and the hereafter — and why each of them matters.
What came after: the rightly-guided caliphs, the scholars, the spread of Islam and the civilisation that grew from it. Taught as history — people, places and dates — not as a list of names to memorise.
